Midfield Jail is a medium security detention center for adult inmates that is locally operated by the Midfield City Police Department. This facility serves the city of Midfield and the surrounding area.
The Midfield Jail houses inmates that have been convicted of crimes and serving a sentence that is 12 months or less as well as those who are still awaiting trial. Inmates that are sentenced for more than 12 months are transferred to a federal or state prison.
A majority of the time inmates at Midfield Jail are required to stay in their individual cells that are divided up between two floors. There is also a large common area with tables and chairs that the inmates are allowed to use at times.

In order to keep everyone safe and secure the Midfield Jail staff inspects all incoming and outgoing mail. Please refrain from sending any contraband in the mail.
Inmates at Midfield Jail are allowed to receive 4"x 6 " plain white postcards in the mail that are metered, unstamped with a pencil or blue or black ink only.
