The Mississippi County Juvenile Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located in Luxora, Arkansas. Operated locally by the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Arkansas. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
