The Nevada County Jail has been around for over 100 years. The Nevada County Jail is in Prescott, Arkansas.
On July 1, 2009, the original Nevada County Jail closed its doors for the last time. This original Nevada County Jail was in use for over 100 years. Throughout those 100 years, the Nevada County Jail was in constant operation.
It took nearly 8 months for the Newton County to officially pass a bond issue that would allow the Nevada County the money and design elements to officially start constructing a bigger and better Nevada County Jail.
The bigger and better Nevada County Jail was fully done and operational in August 2014.
