The Aurora Jail encourages the inmate’s loved ones to stay in contact with the inmate to encourage the inmate.
Metered 4"x 6 " plain white postcards can be sent to inmates. Incoming and outgoing mail is inspected by Aurora Jail personnel so do not send anything that would put the safety and security of anyone at risk. This mail will be disposed of or sent back to sender.
Sending Money
A number of jails and prisons allow inmates to receive funds from loved ones using JPay and Western Union services. These funds are used to make purchases from the commissary which is a store that the inmates are able to buy clothing, sneakers, snacks, stationery supplies and so much more.

Phone Calls
Inmates at Aurora Jail are allowed to make collect calls to their friends and family during their designated phone time. In order for all the inmates to have a chance to call their loved ones, the inmates are given 15 minutes to talk on the phone. The call gets disconnected once the time is up.

Visitation Rules
Be sure to wear clothing that is not revealing or offensive. If you are under the age of 18 you will be required to have your legal guardian accompany you.
Inmates at Aurora Jail are given the opportunity to have visitations weekly. However, if you are on probation or parole you will most likely not be granted visitation.
Please bring your government-issued photo ID card and leave the rest of your personal belongings in your car. You will be required to go through a metal detector and searched.
