The Teller County Jail is a medium-security prison that is located in Divide, Colorado. It is specifically operated by the Montgomery Sheriff’s Office but also does accept prisoners from surrounding towns and municipalities.
The Teller County Jail also has a law library which inmates can access Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 AM and 3 PM. Inmates have a “first come, first serve” basis when it comes to the library.
Some of these inmates are awaiting trial, some have been convicted, and some are waiting to be moved. There is a staff of over 260 civilian members, as well.

How to Find Someone in Teller County Jail

There MUST be the inmate’s name, ID number, and a return address on the envelope. Inmates must also request to have an armband issued by classification in order to receive mail. This armband is not required to receive legal mail, however.

If your last name starts with a letter A through M, your visitation days are Saturdays, from 8 AM to 11 AM, and Sundays, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
