Send a Mail/Package

What’s best about serving out time here in the FCI Fort Dix is being able to write and send letters to inmates.

Before you send a letter to an inmate, you will need to verify with them, if they are located on the main campus or if they are in the detention center. These two campuses have two separate addresses you will be sending mail to.

If the inmate you are sending mail to is located on the main campus, you will send letters to the following address:

Inmate Name, ID Number

FCI Fort Dix

5756 HARTFORD & POINTVILE RD JOINT BASE MDL, NJ, 08640

If the inmate you are sending mail to is in the detention center, you will send letters to the following address:

5756 HARTFORD & POINTVILE RD JOINT BASE MDL, NJ, 08640

Please note you will need to prior approval to send any care packages to inmates.

Sending Money

The FCI Fort Dix provides you three different ways to send inmates money.

Why do inmates need money you may ask?

Inmates will need money in their accounts to pay any fees associated with their stay in the facility, to call home, to send letters home, and to purchase various items from the prison’s commissary.

You can send money by money order, MoneyGram, and even Western Union.

Phone Calls

Communication is a big deal for inmates and families alike. You will not be permitted to contact the FCI Fort Dix to talk to the inmate, but they will be able to pick up the phone to contact you.

Inmates will be responsible to have money in their phone account to ensure they can make these calls. All calls will be limited to 15-minutes. Inmates will have 300 minutes of phone time a month from January to October to use. During the holiday's inmates will get an extra 100 minutes a month they can use.

Visitation Rules

The FCI Fort Dix will permit inmates to have visitors on Saturdays Sundays, and Mondays between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm.
