Americus Jail is a medium security detention center for adult inmates that is locally operated by the Americus City Police Department. This facility serves the city of Americus and the surrounding area.

Send a Mail/Package

In order to keep everyone safe and secure the Americus Jail staff inspects all incoming and outgoing mail. Please refrain from sending any contraband in the mail.

Inmates at Americus Jail are allowed to receive 4"x 6 " plain white postcards in the mail that are metered, unstamped with a pencil or blue or black ink only.
