The Hall County Female Work Release is a medium-security detention center located in Gainesville, Georgia. Operated locally by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Hall County Sheriff's Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Georgia. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
