How to Find Someone in USP Terre Haute
The USP Terre Haute is operated and managed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
If you need any information on an inmate from where they are located to what they were charged with, or to when they will be released, you can count on the Federal Bureau of Prisons to have that information in their inmate roster.
Their inmate roster is updated on a regular basis and easy to use. All you really need is the inmate’s full name or the BOP number that is assigned to the inmate.

Incoming mail in the USP Terre Haute will be classified in one of two ways.
The first way is general correspondence. General correspondence is where the mail will be opened in the mailroom by a prison staff member, but not in front of an inmate. Once it gets checked by the prison staff member, the mail then will be delivered to the inmate it is addressed to.
The second way is a special mail. Special mail is typically the inmate’s counsel sending them legal documents. This will be opened in the mailroom by a prison staff member but in front of an inmate. Once it gets checked by the staff member, it will be given to the inmate right then and there.
