The Berkshire County Juvenile Resource Center is a medium-security detention center located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Operated locally by the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Massachusetts. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
