Opened since 1984, Tishomingo County Jail is a medium-security detention center located in Iuka, Mississippi. This facility was originally designed to house a total of 75 inmates, but by 2004, the Tishomingo County Jail experienced over a 240% increase in the average daily population for the facility and needed to expand.
Currently, 40 Corrections Deputies, 5 Corrections Sergeants, and 1 Lieutenant are responsible for providing safe and secure housing for inmates being held in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail.
Tishomingo County Jail offers a Jail Alternatives Program which offers alternative programs to qualifying inmates. Such alternatives include Work Release, Community Service, and Electronic Home Monitoring.

Visitation Rules
Visitation occurs via video from the visitor’s home/device or in the lobby of the Tishomingo County Community Justice Center which is located at 1208 Bettydale Drive, Iuka, MS, 38852. Inmates are usually allowed one 40-minute visits per week. Each inmate may have two visitors at a time.
