Offenders are always sent to the Montana Department of Corrections daily. They are sent from all over the state of Montana for felony crimes. This is due to the mission of the Montana Department of Corrections where they are committed to protecting the communities they serve.

Nearly 1,250 are walking into the Montana Department of Corrections each year and another 1,200 offenders are walking out. On average, the Montana Department of Correction will keep an offender in one of their many facilities around 2 years before they are released back into the community. Nearly 8,500 offenders will go through the Montana Department of Corrections Parole and Probation division before they are fully released to their own accord.

The Montana Department of Corrections will do everything in their power to help the offenders rehabilitate while they are under their supervision to ensure that they will not likely to re-offend once they get out on their own.
