The Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Service Center is a medium-security detention center located in Madison, Nebraska. Operated locally by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Nebraska. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
