The Saline County Jail is a medium-security detention center located in Wilber, Nebraska. Operated locally by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Saline County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Nebraska. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
Inmates at Saline County Jail have the opportunity to participate in programs, including education, counseling, substance abuse, and religious services. Visitation Rules
Saline County Jail requires all visitors to fill out an application prior to visitation. If you want to visit an inmate at Saline County Jail, carefully fill out the application. The Saline County Jail reserves the right to deny any person the right to enter the jail it chooses and for any reason.
Jail visits are conducted in person behind plexiglass or on a televised screen from another location. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship. Inmates may have two visitors during each visit.
