The Sarpy County Juvenile Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located in Papillion, Nebraska. Operated locally by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Nebraska. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
