This Special Housing Unit is designed to house 250 inmates. The cells here in this unit are usually 13 feet by 7 feet.

You will also need to keep in mind that the money in their commissary account will also allow them to phone home as well.

Phone Calls

The FCI Berlin also allows inmates to phone home to their loved ones. These phone calls are at the expense of the inmate and their family members.

Inmates can have 15-minute phone conversations. All calls will be monitored. You are not permitted to use any phone features while on the phone with an inmate. If used, the call will be dropped, and you may lose phone privileges

Inmates here at the FCI Berlin will have a maximum of 300 minutes to each month in the months of January to October. While during the holidays in November and December, inmates will have 400 minutes per month.

Visitation Rules

Please note when you are coming to the FCI Berlin to visit an inmate, that the street address for the facility has changed. Your GPS may bring you to the old address, you will want to ensure you are being brought to the correct address.

Once you get to the correct address, you will be permitted to park in the visitor area. Keep in mind you will also be required to notate what parking spot number you are in as you will be required to put that on the Visitor Form when you are coming into the facility.

Inmates can receive visitors on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm.
