The Morris County Correctional Facility is a medium-security detention center located in Morristown, New Jersey. Operated locally by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Morris County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in New Jersey. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
