The Dona Ana County Juvenile Detention is a medium-security detention center located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operated locally by the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in New Mexico. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
