Inmates at Erie County Juvenile Detention Center may receive only metered, unstamped, plain white postcards no larger than 4" x 6" as mail. Writing must be in pencil or blue or black ink. Any other mail will be returned to the sender.

Visitation Rules
Erie County Juvenile Detention Center has two options for visitations: online or on-site. All visits are by appointment only and may be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
Online Visits
Inmates in the Erie County Juvenile Detention Center can visit with friends or family at the jail’s video visitation center or remotely (At-Home) via the internet.
Each inmate is allowed two 30-minute visits per week at the visitation center. Each online visit costs $5.00.
On-site Visits
Before you are allowed in the Erie County Juvenile Detention Center’s visitation area you will need to show either your driver’s license, state identification card, or your United States Passport.
You will need to put all of your personal belonging in your vehicle, including cell phones and bags.
