Visitation Rules

Kings County Jail requires that all visitors to fill out an application prior to your visiting an inmate. Applications must be approved prior to visiting an inmate.

Jail visits are conducted in person behind glass or on a televised screen from another location. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship.

  • Inmates at Kings County Jail are only allowed 2 visits per month.

  • Only one child is permitted to visit at a time.

  • You must bring proper forms of identification for yourself and your child (birth certificate).

  • Attorneys can visit inmates as many times as needed.

  • You must cancel a scheduled visit at least two hours prior to your visit.

  • If you do not show up for a visit more than twice in 30 days or 3 consecutive times, your visitation may be suspended.
