The Deschutes County Adult Jail is a medium-security detention center located in Bend, Oregon. Operated locally by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Oregon. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.

Visitation Rules

Deschutes County Adult Jail requires all visitors to fill out an application prior to visitation. If you want to visit an inmate at Deschutes County Adult Jail, carefully fill out the application. Jail visits are conducted in person behind plexiglass or on a televised screen from another location. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship. Inmates may have two visitors during each visit.
