Clark County Jail, located in Clark, South Dakota, is a medium-security detention center that houses inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. Visitation Rules

Clark County Jail requires that all visitors to fill out an application prior to your visiting an inmate. Applications must be approved prior to visiting an inmate.

Jail visits are conducted in person behind glass or on a televised screen from another location. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship.

  • Only one child is permitted to visit at a time.

  • You must bring proper forms of identification for yourself and your child (birth certificate).

  • Attorneys can visit inmates as many times as needed.

  • If you do not show up for a visit more than twice in 30 days or 3 consecutive times, your visitation may be suspended.
