It took nearly 8 months for the Newton County to officially pass a bond issue that would allow the Harris County the money and design elements to officially start constructing a bigger and better Harris County Jail.
The bigger and better Harris County Jail was fully done and operational in August 2014.

All calls are limited to 15-minutes. There can be absolutely no use of any sort of call features such as call waiting, three-way calling, or call forwarding.
