The Door County Detention Facility is a medium-security detention center located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Operated locally by the Door County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Door County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Wisconsin. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
