The Trempealeau County Juvenile Detention is a medium-security detention center located in Whitehall, Wisconsin. Operated locally by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, this jail holds inmates who are awaiting trial or sentencing. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department has the largest number of law enforcement officers in the county and is the largest facility in Wisconsin. The current Sheriff was sworn in as Sheriff in September 2009.
